BASSET FAUVE DE BRETAGNE CLUB
REQUIREMENTS FOR JUDGING LIST 2007
These
requirements supersede any previously published by the BASSET FAUVE de
BRETAGNE CLUB. The number of classes judged in each category reflects
the lack of opportunity people have had for judging this Breed, and the
Committee reserves the right to upgrade these numbers from time to time.
Save in exceptional circumstances the Criteria is as follows.
A3 list (breed
specialist)
- Minimum 7 years
judging experience in the breed, and have the support of the Basset
Fauve de Bretagne Club.
- To have judged
the breed at three Open or Championship Shows with an adequate geographical
spread.
- Judged a minimum
of twenty five classes with sixty dogs present.
(dogs gone over at assessments are not included).
- To have owned
or bred at least three Basset Fauves.
- To have stewarded
for a minimum period of three years and at least twelve shows.
- To have attended
a seminar given by a K C Accredited Trainer and passed a relevant examination
on K.C. Regulations and Judging procedures.
- To have attended
a Conformation & Movement “Hands On Assessment” conducted
by a KC Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.
- To have attended
at least one Breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the
relevant K.C. Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or
assessment where applicable.
- To have bred and/or
owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in The
Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).
- To have attended
a Confirmation and Movement ‘Hands-on Assessment’ conducted
by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment. (KC Policy
1/7/05).
- To have attended
a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Confirmation
and Movement. (KC Policy 1/7/01)
A3 list (non-specialist)
- Minimum 7 years
judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this breed)
and have the support of the Basset Fauve de Bretagne Club.
- To have judged
the breed at three Open or Championship Shows with an adequate geographical
spread.
- To have judged
a minimum of twenty-five classes with sixty dogs present.
(dogs gone over at assessments are not included).
- To have awarded
Challenge Certificates in at least one other Breed.
- To have attended
at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the
relevant K.C. Code of Best Practice, and passed an examination and/or
assessment where applicable.
- To have bred and/or
owned a minimum of three dogs of any breed when they obtained their
first entry in the K.C. Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances)
- To have attended
a Confirmation and Movement ‘Hands-on Assessment’ conducted
by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment. (KC Policy
1/7/05).
- To have attended
a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Confirmation
and Movement. (KC Policy 1/7/01)
B list (breed
specialist)
- Minimum 3 years
owning and showing Basset Fauves.
- To have judged
a minimum six classes, eighteen dogs present
(dogs gone over at assessments are not included).
- To have attended
a breed judging seminar (approved by the Breed Club), and passed an
assessment where applicable.
B list (non-specialist)
- To have 7 years
judging experience in any one Breed, and have the support of the Basset
Fauve de Bretagne Club.
- To have judged
a minimum six Basset Fauve classes with eighteen dogs present (dogs
gone over at assessments are not included) (save in exceptional circumstances).
- To have attended
a breed judging seminar (approved by the Breed Club), and passed an
assessment where applicable.
C list
For aspirant judges
who have shown an interest in the breed, and have the support of the Basset
Fauve de Bretagne Club.
- To have three
years involvement in other Breeds.
- To have attended
a breed seminar.
