CODE OF ETHICS

(this incorporates the K.C general code of ethics)

1.Owners will properly house, feed, water and exercise all dogs under their care, and arrange for appropriate veterinary attention if and when required.

2. Owners will not allow any of their dogs to roam at large or to cause a
nuisance to neighbours or those carrying out official duties.

3. Breeders are encouraged to identify by micro-chip or tattoo, all stock before they leave their premises, and ensure their dogs wear properly tagged collars, and are under effective control when away from home.

4. Owners will not breed from a bitch under two years of age, or if it is deleterious to the bitch or the breed.

5. Owners / Breeders should be prepared to accept responsibility for the stock they breed, by taking it back or helping with re-homing.

6. Owners/Breeders will not sell any dog to a commercial dog wholesaler, retail pet dealer or directly or indirectly allow dogs to be given as a prize or donation in a competition ok any kind.

7. Owners / Breeders are requested to inform the Club of any apparent hereditary defects that appear in their breeding program.

8. Owmer/Breeders should not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed, nor falsely advertise dogs nor mislead any person regarding the quality of the dog.

9. Members are discouraged from exhibiting Bitches in full season, and are requested to act in a pleasant and sporting manner.

10. Members are encouraged to take advantage of the Kennel Clubs endorsements on registrations.

11. Members acting in any way discreditable to the Club may be expelled.
