BREED DESCRIPTION

An active lively little French hound, with a well developed sense of smell. His height is between 32 and 38cms, he has a fairly short wiry coat, his ears are long and covered in a finer softer hair, slightly darker than his body. His colour is fawn wheaten to a deep red wheaten, his eyes and nose are dark. A weekly brush and comb will keep him well turned out.
He enjoys being part of the family where his lovely character and fondness for children can really blossom. Exercise is moderate, although he will be more than happy to keep going for as long as you want to. If exercise is taken near to roads or railways etc., an extendable lead is best, just in case he picks up an interesting scent and dashes off to find its source.
He has no known hereditary defects, and usually enjoys a long and active life.
